President, Genesis Medical Center, Silvis
Areas of Responsibility: Youmans directs the day-to-dayoperations and strategic development of the health system's second-largest hospital, Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, a 150-bed, acute care medical center with more than 650 employees.
Bio: Youmans joined Genesis in April 2013 as Vice President of Outpatient Services, a role in which he had oversight of outpatient services and specialty clinics across the health system. Later in 2013, he assumed a second role as Executive Director of Hospital Operations for GMC-Silvis, with responsibility for support services, radiology, pharmacy and laboratory. He was named Interim President of GMC-Silvis in May 2014, and then named to the position permanently in February 2015. Prior to Genesis, Youmans worked at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., where he held a number leadership positions, including Senior Director of Regional Growth, Director of the Executive Health/Subscription Medicine Program, Director of the Orthopedics service line, Director of the Virginia Cardiac Network, LLC, and administrative fellow.
Youmans is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Master of Health Administration and Policy from Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Youmans serves on the board of directors for MEDIC EMS, the Genesis Health Services Foundation and Renew Moline. He and his wife, Lolita, were raised in South Carolina and have four children.
