Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer, Genesis Health System
Areas of Responsibility: All financial matters for the health system, including but not limited to, oversight of accounting, insurance, cash and debt management, payroll, revenue cycle management, payor contracting, financial regulatory compliance, internal audit, business analysis, reimbursement and budgeting, information technology, the organization's Business Intelligence Center, Lean program and facilities management.
Bio: Rogers joined Genesis in April 2004 as Corporate Controller and was named Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer in June 2008. His extensive background in health care finance includes positions as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of St. Catherine Hospital and regional Chief Financial Officer with Lake Shore Health Systems in Indiana. A University of Wisconsin-Whitewater graduate and certified public accountant, Rogers also served as Chief Financial Officer of Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers, Fla.
Rogers also has held a number of high-level finance positions with Ernst & Whinney, Columbia Hospital and Blue Cross United of Wisconsin, all in Milwaukee. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport, in October 2008 and appointed to its Audit Committee in January 2009.
