The Applause Award

The Applause Award is a peer-to-peer award recognizing exemplary professional practice. It is given during our monthly Nursing Practice Council meeting. This award started as a nurse-to-nurse award, but has extended recently to include other disciplines. Recipients have included staff from social services, spiritual care and the transport team. The recipient is given a traveling trophy and a bag of candy to share with their peers. Each recipient is responsible for passing the award to someone they feel shows outstanding professionalism and dedication towards their practice.
