The Impact of Therapy Dogs on Family Members of Hospital Patients

Objective

The purpose of this study is to see if therapy dogs can help family members of surgical or cardiac patients feel less worried or stressed.

This study is being done because therapy dogs usually visit patients, but they do not always visit with patient's family members. We don't know if therapy dogs visits with family members of the patients are helpful or not.
