OT Handwriting Clinic

Effectiveness of An Occupational Therapy Handwriting Clinic for Children

Objective

Occupational therapy treatment for children with handwriting difficulties is vast, but not highly researched. This study intends to add to this research.

The purpose of the study is to measure the result of the seven week handwriting program offered through the Genesis Outpatient Clinic. The handwriting clinic is not a part of the research and is considered standard intervention. The pre and post test SHORE assessment, being completed at two additional scheduled times before and after the clinic, is considered a part of this research.

This study is being conducted in conjunction with the St. Ambrose University Master of Occupational Therapy Program.
