Nearly 60 million Americans suffer from mental illness--here's how Genesis helps.

What we're doing now

For several decades Genesis has been committed to providing the best care possible to individuals suffering from mental illness. We currently offer the following services:

Expansion Plan

Recognizing the need in the community for behavioral health services, Genesis announced in Aug. 2015 a comprehensive expansion to further care for these patients:

Inpatient

  • Child & Adolescent Inpatient Unit - an 8-bed intensive psychiatric program helping individuals ages 8-17 who demonstrate acute mental illness by demonstrating behaviors and/or intentions that put themselves or others at risk.
  • Adult Inpatient Unit - 28-bed unit helps individuals ages 18-64 who demonstrate acute mental illness.
  • Geriatric Inpatient Unit - designed to serve individuals ages 55+ who demonstrate acute mental illness. THE PLAN: 24-bed unit to open July 2017.

Outpatient

  • Adult Intensive Outpatient Program - The program uses intensive group therapy for individuals ages 18-64 who need daily treatment but do not require the same level of treatment as inpatient hospitalization.
  • Geriatric Intensive Outpatient Program - again in collaboration with Vera French, this is an intensive group therapy program designed for individuals ages 55+ who need daily treatment but do not require the same level of treatment as inpatient hospitalization. THE PLAN: opening July 2017.
  • Outpatient Crisis Stabilization Services - designed to provide immediate outpatient intensive day services for individuals in emotional stress but do not need the level of treatment provided by hospitalization.
