Your child or adolescent needs you, and we make sure to involve family members in the treatment process and discharge plan.

We regularly offer care and guidance in the following areas:

  • Crisis management
  • Illness education
  • Regulation of emotions
  • Communication skills

Getting a Referral

Admissions to the child and adolescent unit are accepted 24-hours a day. Referrals may be made by professionals, family members or friends. Genesis encourages a phone screen prior to arrival. The staff psychiatrist is then notified and the final decision to admit is made by the doctor on call.
