How long have you worked at the BirthCenter?
What is your job/role at the BirthCenter?
I am a Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Preceptor, and Fetal Monitor Instructor.
Why do you like working at the BirthCenter? What makes you the most proud?
I am most proud to work at the BirthCenter because of the progressive care we give our patients. We are driven and guided by best practices. We have the support from all levels of management to improve ourselves and our patients' lives with current recommendations for a safe and satisfying patient experience.
Why did you decide to work at the BirthCenter?
I wanted to “pay it forward” by helping young women to affirm and celebrate the capability of a woman's body to sustain and give life and to be able to guide these women in their incredible journeys as mothers.
Any stories/comments/examples of compassion you wish to share that will assure future parents that their needs will be met?
We are all committed to a safe, positive, and gratifying experience. From our OB Techs, to Nurses, to Midwives, to our Physicians, we shoot for the best patient experience. Our nurses show they care every day by remaining at the bedside to get to know their patients as much as they can, to be able to fulfill a moment in life that will be remembered forever. We are committed to do whatever it takes to provide families with all the tools to be successful parents.
Any additional comments you'd like to make?
I love what I do. I always tell people, I was made to be a Labor and Delivery nurse. I had hopes and expectations with my own deliveries, and I make it my mission to find out my patient's hopes and dreams and fulfill them. Babies are a great way to start people, and it is a privilege to witness the start.
