Kate Bowman, LPC

Kate BowmanKate Bowman is a licensed professional counselor for Genesis Grief Support, a service of Genesis Hospice and Genesis Philanthropy. Kate received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Loras College, Dubuque, and Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Chicago.

Possessing a special interest in Hospice, Palliative Care and Behavioral Health, Kate brings two decades of pastoral care and clinical experience to her practice in providing spiritual and psychological care for those who have suffered loss and significant life transitions.

In her practice, Kate focuses on the connection between care of the human spirit and psychological well-being. Kate helps individuals embrace the fullness of the human experience, remaining as a presence of support amidst the suffering of individuals who are seeking meaning. Kate empowers each person to explore opportunities for growth, transformation, and healing.

Lisa Levy, BSN, RN

Lisa LevyLisa facilitates two weekly grief support groups and teaches a monthly grief education course. Lisa has a career in nursing that spans over a decade and has been a Genesis Hospice nurse case manager for half that. Her experience with families at end-of-life and in the community teaching and speaking have encouraged young and old alike in their faith journey, rounding out her ability to support and empower the spirit of those who are grieving.

Rev. Dr. Michael Robinson, Chaplain

Michael RobinsonMichael facilitates a weekly Tuesday evening grief support group, among other bereavement and chaplain duties for Genesis Health System. Michael has extensive experience in grief counseling and group therapy. He has a Doctor of Education and has 44 years of pastoral care experience. He is a certified Grief Recovery specialist. He came to the QCA in 1991 from the deep-south and helps those seeking to find meaning following a loss.

Jon Yarian, Chaplain, ACC

Jon YarianJon served in the U.S. Air Force before earning his Bachelor of Theology and Master in Ministry degrees. Rev. Yarian, non-denominationally ordained, also served 25 years in ministry as a local church pastor before he went on to be certified as a Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains.

Jon, in the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois, now works full time at Genesis Health System as the lead coordinator for The Grief Support Cooperative, the premier provider of grief support locally. His experience in leadership administration and passion for spiritual care bring a unique perspective to his compassionate care for those suffering from the impact of significant life loss and change.
