Remembrance Tree

Residents of the Quad Cities are invited to honor the memory of loved ones and focus attention on the continuing and growing need of hospice care in the community.

Since 2004, the Genesis Remembrance Trees have honored more than 5,500 individuals and raised more than $30,000 for hospice care at Genesis.

In conjunction with the Remembrance Tree, Genesis will also maintain a Book of Names throughout the holiday season. This book is dedicated to the memory of family and friends no longer with us.

The 2014 Tree Lighting Celebration was November 14, 6:00 p.m. at Bechtel Park (River Drive and Iowa Street, Davenport)

Musical prelude featuring the Riverbend Bronze Community Handbell Ensemble. Blessing and illumination of the Remembrance Tree will occured at 6:30 p.m.

Individual "light" sponsors were invited to make a donation of $10 to honor the memory of loved ones. Names received by the Genesis Foundation by November 10 were included on a "Scroll of Names,'' which was given to ceremony attendees.

Yes, I would like to sponsor a Remembrance Tree light.
(Proceeds from the Remembrance Tree will benefit Genesis Hospice.)
