Our pediatric gastroenterologists provide expert care for children with stomach, intestinal, and liver disorders such as belly pain, peptic ulcers, indigestion, gastro-esophageal reflux, ulcerative colitis, severe constipation, soiling, and Crohn's disease.
Riad Rahhal, MD, completed his residency and fellowship training at UI Children's Hospital. During this time, dedication to his health care education earned him the awards of being voted Teacher of the Year in pediatrics in both 2003 and 2004 and voted Outstanding Pediatric Resident in 2004. At the core of his service is a commitment to providing clinical excellence, quality service, and child-family-centered care.
Judith G. Heckman, PA-C, received her BS from the Physician Assistant Program at The University of Iowa and her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. After several years in primary care, she has been with the Division of Gastroenterology at UI Children's Hospital since 1989.
