Matter of Balance

A Matter of Balance is an eight week long class that meets for two hours once a week.  The class acknowledges the risk of falling, but emphasizes practical coping strategies to reduce this fear. The program's goal is to reduce the fear of falling, stop the fear of falling cycle, and increase activity levels among community-dwelling older adults this is achieved primarily through discussion with minimal exercises. Our instructors are Matter of Balance Master Trainers.

Classes usually meet on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., and snacks are provided. This class costs $20.00 for all eight weeks of classes.

Register by calling Diane Dittmer Johnson or Jennifer Hovey at 563-421-1440.
