Outpatient physical and occupational therapy is available for patients who have moderate to severe physical limitations and who can travel to receive care. Musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunctions, soft tissue, sports medicine, neurologic, fibromyalgia and work related injuries are the most frequent ailments referred to Lombard Physical Therapy.

Other ailments commonly treated in an outpatient setting include:

  • Spinal dysfunction
  • Chronic pain
  • Pain from motor vehicle accidents or other trauma
  • Cumulative trauma disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Hand injuries, surgeries or splinting needs
  • Joint replacement and revisions, (Most common total hip or knee surgeries)
  • Nerve injuries
  • Amputations
  • Sprains and strains
  • Soft tissue disorders
  • Vestibular disorders (Dizziness)
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Post operative cases
  • Fractures

To meet our goal Genesis Physical Therapy at Lombard provides our patients with the most up-to-date therapeutic services and help the patient return to either their prior level of functioning or to increase their current level of functioning. The center provides outpatient physical therapy and outpatient occupational therapy. All therapy services are provided by highly educated physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapist assistants. All of our therapists stay abreast of the latest techniques and technology in their respective fields by regularly attending continuing education courses. The therapists are supported by a friendly staff of administrative assistants.

Chris HunterChris Hunter, PT, MPT

Title: Physical Therapist and Clinic Supervisor

School and Year of Graduation: University of Iowa 1998, BS; St. Ambrose 2001, MPT

Specialization/Certification: Chris graduated from St. Ambrose University in May of 2001 with a Masters in Physical Therapy.  Chris joined Genesis in 2006 and is the Supervisor of the Lombard clinic.  Chris is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who enjoys treating all musculoskeletal conditions with an emphasis on neck and back pain.  He is a credentialed clinical instructor and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the APTA orthopedic section.

Community/Recreational Activities: Chris lives in Bettendorf, Iowa with his wife Jenny, daughter Cami, twin sons, Alex and Brady and their cat Fin.  In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cheering passionately for all Hawkeye sports and traveling to Fort Myers.  He coaches his boys' basketball team and is active in the local QC Toastmasters club. 

Aaron Kamla,  PTA, NSCA-CPTAaron Kamla, PTA

Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

School and Year of Graduation: Black Hawk College 2007, A.S. for Physical Therapy Assistant

Specialization/Certification: In addition to being a Physical Therapy Assistant, Aaron is also a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer.  He enjoys treating all types of orthopedic diagnosis but especially enjoys treating sports injuries with a focus on return to sport training.

Community/Recreational Activities: Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and just about any outdoor activity (even yard work).

School and Year of Graduation: Luther College 2005, health major and biology minor; The University of Iowa 2007, DPT

Specializations/Certification: Abby enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions.  She has a special interest in vestibular, low back pain, and neck pain.  Abby is working towards a certification in the McKenzie approach.

Community/Recreational Activities: Some of Abby's favorite pastimes include spending time with friends and family, hosting, running, and vacationing in Colorado.

Kari Basler Wiese, OTR/L, CHT

Title: Occupational Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: Wartburg College 1998; St. Ambrose University, MOT, 2001

Specialization/Certification: Kari obtained her certification as a Board Certified Hand Therapist in 2012 and has focused her career on the treatment of the hand and the upper extremity.  She works with patients of all ages to improve their function and symptoms in order to return to the activities they enjoy. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Kari now calls Davenport home with her husband and her 3 sons, but still has her small town roots.  You can find her along the sidelines cheering on her 3 sons, enjoying time outside, or trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Kelli Hillebrand, PT, DPT

School and Year of Graduation: Loras College 2005; Clarke College, 2008, DPT

Specializations/Certification: Kelli has been with Genesis for over 7 years.  Her first 5 years were split between the Inpatient and Skilled Nursing Facility settings.  She transitioned to the Outpatient setting just over 2 years ago and has since enjoyed working with a variety of orthopedic conditions and athletic populations.  She is a certified ASTYM provider and Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult.

Community/Recreational Activities: Kelli lives in Davenport with her husband who also works as a Genesis Physical Therapist.  She is passionate about exercise, nutrition, nature/environment, animals, and enjoys spending time with family and their dogs.

Leslie Drenth, PT, DPT Leslie Drenth, PT, DPT

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: University of North Dakota 1985; St. Ambrose University 2005, DPT

Specialization/Certification: Leslie has a strong background in work injury rehabilitation.  She appreciates the diversity of patient populations and diagnoses available at the Lombard Clinic.  Leslie especially enjoys vestibular rehab and working with the geriatric population. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Leslie enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, and golfing.  She and her husband are involved with the youth at their church and are in the process of getting their dog certified as a therapy dog to visit residents in local long-term care facilities. 

Scott Jacobs, PT

School and Year of Graduation: Chicago Medical School, 1989

Specializations/Certification: Scott has a strong interest treating patients with spine, vestibular, and  general operative and non-operative musculoskeletal conditions.

Community/Recreational Activities: In his free time, Scott enjoys exercising, fishing, woodworking, golf, gardening, and reading.

Alyssa Carlson, PT, DPTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: St. Ambrose University, 2013; St. Ambrose University, DPT, 2014

Specialization/Certification: Alyssa is trained in manual therapy and enjoys treating patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions.  Alyssa uses an eclectic approach to treatment; encompassing many different techniques and treatment variations that she tailors to meet the individual needs of her patients. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Alyssa resides in Bettendorf with her fiancé.  She enjoys spending time with her friends and family.  Alyssa is a converted Hawkeye fan and enjoys cheering on the Hawkeyes year round.   

Amy Hock, OTR/L, CHTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: Iowa State University, 1993; University of Kansas 2001

Specialization/Certification: Amy became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2009.  She is also ASTYM certified.  Her special interest lie in the area of upper extremity post surgical rehabilitation and traumatic work related injuries and arthritic changes of the thumb. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Amy recently relocated to Davenport with her husband and three children from the Ames area.  She enjoys watching and attending Iowa State sporting events, doing outdoor activities with her children and friends, and vacationing with her family.  Recently she has enjoyed meeting new people and learning more about what the Quad Cities have to offer.

Jake Canright, PT, DPTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: St. Ambrose University, 2013; St. Ambrose University, DPT, 2014

Specialization/Certification: Jake specializes in providing quality care to a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses with special interests in sports medicine and shoulder injuries.

Community/Recreational Activities: Jake enjoys staying active by weight lifting, playing soccer, and skiing.  Jake is active in his church and enjoys relaxing with his friends and family. 

Julie Suhl, PTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: St. Louis University, 1991

Specialization/Certification: Julie has been working in Outpatient Physical Therapy for many years and enjoys working with a wide variety of patient diagnosis.  She has extensive experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Community/Recreational Activities: Julie is married to her husband Brian and has two children, Ben and Anna.  In her free time Julie enjoys boating, jeeping, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Chris Posten, PTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: Augustana College. 1998; St. Ambrose University, MPT 2002

Specialization/Certification: Chris has been practicing for 14 years as a Physical Therapist.  She enjoys working with people with operative and non-operative orthopedic conditions.  Chris also has extensive training in treating people with vestibular conditions (dizziness and imbalance).  She has a special interest in educating the adult and geriatric population in minimizing their fall risk in order to remain independent in their own homes.  She is also a clinical instructor. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Chris resides in Davenport with her husband and 3 children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and playing sand volleyball.  She volunteers at her church and her children's school. 

Andrew Piotter, PT, DPTAllyson Wennlund

Title: Physical Therapist

School and Year of Graduation: Truman State University; University of Iowa, DPT, 2015

Specialization/Certification: Soon after graduation, Andrew obtained his Emergency Medical Response certification.  Andrew has also been involved in creating a relationship between Genesis and the Bettendorf Soccer Association, allowing him to combine both his professional and personal interests to help improve the lives of young athletes across the QC area. 

Community/Recreational Activities: Andrew grew up and now resides with his wife and their black lab in Bettendorf.  Andrew enjoys working out, playing soccer, and following the Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals!
