As a multidisciplinary team, we will develop individualized care plans based upon evidence based protocols. Upon the patients arrival, a full history and appropriate physical exam is done to identify the the wound etiology and any of the underlying causes for slow or non- healing wounds. This includes nut is not limited to consideration of diabetes control, venous insufficiency, Peripheral Vascular Disease, infection, underlying vasculitis, and excess pressure.

Appropriate testing is then ordered in a timely fashion, and results are used to help guide our decision-making. Patients are generally seen on a weekly basis so appropriate changes in their plan of care can be made accordingly. All of our efforts are directed at changing the environment of the wound to allow the patient to heal their own wounds. Consultation with other services or healhcare professionals is readily available for special needs and/or counseling.
