To provide healthcare professionals information on evidence based practices for dealing with patients following brain injury (BI).
- Describe normal aging changes
- Describe signs and symptoms of dementia
- Describe cognitive impairments following neurological insult
- Apply objective assessment techniques to establish baseline performance
- Provide interventions that will assist in enhancing performance and participation in therapies

Continuing Education Credits
Nursing: 8.0 Contact hours awarded by Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #59, GMC, Davenport, Iowa. Certificate may be used for IL license renewal.
Illinois Social Work: 6.6 hours of credit provided by Black Hawk College for Addn $10 fee.
Iowa SW, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, TR, SLP, Psychology eligible for up to 8.0 hours of credit.
Illinois PT, PTA, OT, COTA will be provided 8.0 hours of credit.
IL SLP will be provided 6.6 hours of credit by UnityPoint/Trinity.
