INTENDED AUDIENCE

Registered Medical Sonographers, Student Sonographers, Radiologic Technologists

GOAL

The audience will be educated on basic fetal heart imaging, hepatic elastography, hemodialysis graphs & fistulas and the clinical use of CEUS.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

  1. Identify all findings that need documented in fetal LVOT and RVOT views.
  2. Identify how imaging windows effects the view in terms of how anatomy is displayed.
  3. Identify the clinical benefits to the use of Hepatic Elastography.
  4. Identify liver segmental anatomy.
  5. Identify and recognize complications and pathology associated with hemodialysis grafts & fistulas.
  6. Explain revisions & other treatment options for revascularization of hemodialysis grafts & fistula.
  7. Explain the clinical use of contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) imaging.
  8. Describe the vascular phases of the liver.

CREDITS

CE: Radiologic Technologists approved for 4.0 CEH through the ASRT;
CME: Medical Sonographers approved for 4.0 CME through the SDMS - 1 each AB, OB, SPI, VT categories
