Mary Hill-Sutherland, LISW, CEAP
EAP Manager
Mary is a licensed social worker in Iowa and Illinois and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Mary received her Bachelor of Social Work from Valparaiso University, Indiana and her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa, Iowa. Mary has over 27 years of social work experience and more than fifteen years experience within the Genesis Health System. Mary’s an experienced therapist and expert on community resources, dealing with medical illnesses (adjustment to illness, changes in body image and terminal illness), grief and loss, and older adult issues (aging, parenting parents, alternate care, and “sandwich generation”). Mary participates in the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA), Illowa Chapter and the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA).

Steve Anderson, LCSW, LISW, MPA, CEAP
EAP Clinical Supervisor
Steve Anderson, LISW, CEAP, has been the Clinical Supervisor at the Genesis Employee Assistance Program (EAP) since 1996. In addition to holding a Master of Public Administration degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Social Work from The University of Iowa, Steve is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Iowa and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. He also is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Before Genesis EAP, Steve served for nearly twenty years as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor for the Youth Service Bureau of Rock Island County. His areas of expertise include marriage and family issues, anger management, anxiety and mood disorders, and adolescent issues.

Gary Johnson, MSW, LISW, CEAP
CISM Leader/Trainer
Gary Johnson, LISW, CEAP, has been employed at Genesis EAP since 1990. He is currently working as the Critical Incident Stress Management Leader and Trainer as well as assuming counseling duties. Gary holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa (1991) and is licensed in the state of Iowa as an Independent Social Worker (LISW). He is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). Prior to working at the Genesis EAP, Gary was employed in the field of substance abuse counseling for ten years and a family therapy agency for three years. His areas of expertise include marriage and family counseling, CISM deployment, substance abuse issues and anxiety and mood disorders. Gary also provides training for companies on a wide variety of topics.

Linda Jones, MSEd, LMHC, LPC, NCC, CEAP
EAP Counselor
Linda holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Western Illinois University (M.S. Ed.). Linda has been employed with Genesis EAP since 1999. Other degrees include a Bachelor of Arts from WIU, an Associate of Science and Associate of Arts from Black Hawk College. Her professional credentials include Licensed Mental Health Counselor, State of Iowa (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor, State of Illinois (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Illinois Counseling Association (ICA), and Illinois Association for Specialist in Group Work (IASGW -Past-President, Current-Treasurer). Linda’s professional practice interests include a general practice in Solution Focus Brief Therapy. Her specialty interests are individual counseling, marital/relationship issues, families, adolescents, grief and loss, emotional problems, self-concept/esteem, anxiety/depression, and personal or workplace stress.

Helen Landrum, MSW, LCSW, CEAP
EAP Counselor
Helen has been employed as a Genesis EAP counselor since 1994. She received her bachelor's degree from Mary Crest College and her master's degree from the University of Iowa. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Iowa and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Prior to working at the Genesis EAP, Helen served as a Peer/Career Counselor at Black Hawk College for two years and as a Medical Social Worker at Illini Hospital for three years. Helen does Solution Focus Brief Therapy with individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in women's issues, self-esteem, stress, work, and marital situations. Helen is on the Genesis Critical Incident Stress Management Team and helps clients with grief and loss issues. |

Deb Moeller, LMSW
EAP Counselor
Deb is a licensed social worker in Iowa and Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa. Having worked since 1995 as a community-based medical social worker with Genesis VNA and Hospice, Deb comes to the EAP with an expertise in issues related to coping with medical illness, caregiver stress, grief and loss, and community resources.

EAP Counselor
Marcie holds a Master of the Arts degree in Community Counseling from John Carroll University. In addition she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from John Carroll University. She is a National Certified Counselor. Marcie’s professional practice interests include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and holistic therapies. Her specialty interests are individual counseling, family counseling, adolescent counseling, stress management, anxiety, and depression.

Cassie Ridenour RN, LMHC, LCPC, NCC
EAP Counselor
Cassie holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Education from Western Illinois University. Other degrees include a bachelor of arts in psychology from Augustana College and an Associates Degree in Nursing from Black Hawk College. Her professional credentials include: Registered Nurse, State of Illinois (RN), Licensed Mental Health Counselor, State of Iowa (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, State of Illinois (LCPC), and she is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Prior to coming to Genesis EAP, Cassie served as the Director of Inpatient Services at the Robert Young Center and she has over 10 years experience in Community Mental Health. Her professional approaches are Solution Focused and Choice Theory based. Her specialty interests include individual counseling, marital and relationship issues, self concept/self esteem, child and adolescent counseling, crisis intervention and chemical dependency.

Lori Weiman, MSEd, NCC, CEAP
EAP Counselor
Lori is the Genesis EAP Counselor in our Rock Island, Illinois office. She has previously worked in our Clinton, DeWitt and Muscatine locations. Lori graduated from Western Illinois University in 2001. Lori provides individual, marital, and family therapy. In addition, she combines her counseling skills with her business background as she develops and presents many workshops for several of our companies. She also works with employees and management from these organizations on work-related issues.
