Foundation Special Events
Each year the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation hosts one major event that raises money for the Foundation. The major event is Swingin for Healthcare Charity Classic golf tournament. The event is unique and not only raises funds for the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation, but also raises awareness of the Foundation's initiatives.
Since 1997, The DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation has raised more than $5.8 million to improve the health and wellness of Clinton County residents. The capital campaigns, scholarship program, injury prevention, health & wellness education, and our support of the Genesis Philanthropy initiatives.
Wear Pink for the Cure
The DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation proudly supports the awareness and support of Breast Cancer Awareness. 2016 will be our 5th Year for Wear Pink for the Cure in Clinton County. The purpose of the event is to increase awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
DeWitt has responded to the challenge in a huge way during the month of October! Many activities are planned for the month including:
- Business Challenge of decorating with a pink theme for the month
- Honoring current and past survivors
- Derby car for the 4th of July parade
- Wear Pink for the Cure Day
- Movie and Mammo Night – including speakers, movie, wine and hors d’oeuvres

Swingin’ for Healthcare Charity Classic
The DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation’s Swingin’ for Healthcare Charity Classic will be held on Saturday, August 27 at Springbrook Country Club.
This top-rated tournament has over 25 teams that gives beginning and avid golfers alike the opportunity to play Springbrook Country Club. In addition, tournament participants also have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of exquisite cuisine complimented by invigorating conversation.
Proceeds from the tournament directly support the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation. Many initiative have been supported including:
- Nursing & Staff Scholarships
- West Wing Renovations
- Compassionate Care
- Healthy Initiatives
- Hospital Renovations
- Equipment Upgrades
2015 proceeds went to purchase a new 64 slice CT scanner.
