I love what I do because it gives me the opportunity to get to know my patients well and partner with them to improve their health over time.

I had always had an interest in mental health, and it has become increasingly apparent that it is often impossible to separate a person’s physical health from their mental wellbeing. We are always learning in medicine, and it is an exciting time to be working at the interface of medicine and psychiatry

Even before I started medical school, I felt drawn to family medicine and the importance of forming a partnership between patient and physician to improve health and wellness. I have always wanted to contribute, not only to the health of the individual, but to the overall health of our community. I believe that, to do that as a physician, it means helping to take care of everyone and to try to “meet people where they’re at.”
