Chantelle E. Peterson, APN
Accepting new patients.
I am passionate about what I do because my family has been greatly affected by mental illness. Mental illness does not discriminate. It bypasses race, gender, age and socioeconomic status. It can affect you, or me, and it can do so at any time in our lives. I have a desire to raise awareness and decrease stigma through integration in primary care.
I am a firm believer that physical health and behavioral health do not exist in separate spaces. I believe that integrated, whole-person care provides superior outcomes. I believe that stigma in mental health continues to exist, and as a result, it is my responsibility to advocate for my patients and community. I feel that I can provide a voice for those who are unable to speak for themselves. I believe in developing strong therapeutic relationships and working together to achieve person-centered goals. This empathetic, structured care, allows a patient to fully participate in their own planning and gives them a sense of ownership and personal success. I entered the medical field to challenge myself and to make a difference in the lives of my patients.

I am a busy mom of a 4-year- old son and 5-year-old daughter. My husband and I enjoy cooking gourmet meals together at home and fine dining in the area when we find time. We enjoy spending time outdoors during the summer and recently started a new adventure with our first RV. We are huge sports fans! I love cheering for the Chicago Cubs (Go Cubs GO!), Pittsburgh Steelers, and Detroit Redwings.
