Education

Genesis provides exercise and education classes for those with high cholesterol and/or triglyceride levels through the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phased III/IV Program. This program is community based for those who have the following risk factors: smoking, high blood pressure, elevated blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, heredity, obesity, diabetes, stress, and lack of regular exercise. Spouses are encouraged to attend. This preventive program is an excellent method to assist you in making lifestyle changes to help manage your high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Classes are held in the Genesis Gym at the Bettendorf YMCA, Genesis Medical Park, 3800 Tanglefoot Lane, Bettendorf, Iowa 52722. Children's Risk Factor Reduction Program

Genesis Medical Center's Children's Risk Factor Reduction Program is designed to assist children in lowering their high cholesterol and triglycerides levels, and addressing other risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and sedentary lifestyle.
