Maquoketa Hospital Hosts Fireworks Display
MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- For a second year, Genesis Health System and Jackson County Regional Health Center will put on a fireworks display on the hospital’s grounds.
The fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 1. Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
Genesis began the fireworks tradition at the hospital last year to celebrate the launch of a new management services agreement with the Maquoketa hospital. Since then, advancements have given the community hospital more reasons to celebrate this year.
A new sleep disorders program will open June 23 at Jackson County Regional Health Center that will be affiliated with the nationally accredited Genesis Sleep Disorders Center. Digital mammography, the latest screening tool for the early detection of breast cancer, will be introduced Aug. 1. A facilities analysis of the hospital’s infrastructure needs will help develop long-range plans for the hospital. More advancements will be announced this summer.
