Genesis EAP Achieves COA Accreditation
Davenport, IA - The Genesis Employee Assistance Program (EAP) meets the highest Employee Assistance Program best practice standards for administration, management and service delivery. In 2000, the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA) combined their standards with those of the Council on Accreditation (COA), creating the most rigorous EAP standards to date. Genesis EAP is the first U.S.-based EAP to receive accreditation under those new standards.
This accreditation is a unique distinction among EAPs and attests that the organization meets the highest international standards for quality management and service delivery. "We are thrilled to announce the accreditation of Genesis EAP," said Richard Klarberg, President and CEO of COA. "Employees and their families, the customer organizations being served by EAP, and the EAP itself, can have confidence in the fact that Genesis EAP is delivering the highest quality service in the field."
EAPs provide confidential professional counseling to help employees and their immediate family members resolve personal problems including: marital, emotional, substance abuse, elder care, family illness, financial, legal and job stress that may effect job performance. Genesis EAP currently provides EAP services to over 200 companies, many nationwide. Genesis EAP has a large affiliate network built to service employees of companies who work throughout North America. Genesis EAP has six locations in the greater Quad Cities with offices in Bettendorf, Clinton, Davenport, DeWitt, Muscatine and Rock Island.
"Achieving this exemplary honor demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality counseling services to employees and family members of subscribing employers," says Mary Hill-Sutherland, Genesis EAP Manager. Genesis EAP was also the first program in the world to receive accreditation by the EASNA in 1990.
