Genesis Foundation Sponsors Annual Golf ChallengeGenesis Foundation Golf Challenge

The Genesis Health Services Foundation will present the 2002 Golf Challenge Monday, September 9, at two of the Quad Cities' finest golf courses, the Davenport Country Club and TPC at Deere Run.

Reservations for the event are $225 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf and green fees, cart, lunch and course refreshments, entry gift and the evening's activities. Event day registration at TPC at Deere Run begins at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Davenport Country Club registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Following the tournament, participants are invited to meet at the Davenport Country Club putting green to cheer on the lucky finalists in the 10k Putt Contest. The golfer who sinks a 50-foot putt wins $10,000. Following the contest, participants are invited into the clubhouse for a cocktail buffet and an awards presentation. 

Golf Challenge proceeds provide health care equipment, programs and services for Genesis Medical Center patients. This charity golf event has provided significant funding for the dialysis unit, Rick's House of Hope, physician and staff education, transportation for rehabilitation patients and the VNA Health Ministry Nursing program.

Lujack Lexus of the Quad Cities is the Tournament Sponsor for this year's event. The Challenge is part of the Lexus Champions for Charity, a unique series of 190 golf tournaments throughout the United States.
