Genesis Health Group Opens New Physician's Office Building
Genesis Health Group of Eldridge invites the public to an Open House at its new $1.3 million dollar facility on Tuesday, October 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. Refreshments and tours will be provided. Physicians James Darrow, M.D., Max Goodwin, M.D., Pat McCaw, M.D., and Micheal Schreck, M.D., began seeing patients on October 14, 2002, in the single story 7,560-square-foot building. The building is located in the Eldridge Commercial Park, at 301 North 4th Avenue, just off of East LeClaire Road.
Russell Construction of Bettendorf broke ground on March 14, 2002 for the building designed by Phillips Swager Associates of Peoria, IL. "The four physicians actively participated with the architects to help design the new building for the best convenience and patient flow," adds William Langley, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for Genesis Health Group. "The physicians really put their heart and soul into the new building, looking forward to an expanded facility that can accommodate the growing needs of the Eldridge community."
"This is an exciting new development not only for Genesis Health System but also for the city of Eldridge and surrounding communities," says Leo Bressanelli, President and CEO of Genesis Health System. "Bringing these four Eldridge-area physicians together will not only improve the quality and delivery of health care to all area residents but it will also enhance the physicians' resources and provide patients better access to current and expanded services."
Medical services offered by the group include pediatrics, including newborns, adolescent and adult medicine, gynecology, sports medicine, geriatrics, preventative medicine, emergency medicine, hospital care, minor surgery, laceration repair, radiology, lab and dietetic services.
"We are looking forward to expanding services for our patients, something we could not do as a smaller group," says Micheal Schreck, M.D. "We can help centralize services with four physicians, and 20 staff members. Our patients will only benefit, now we can offer them greater convenience, and better serve the community."
