Genesis Foundation Golf Challenge Is A Record Success
The Genesis Health Services Foundation is pleased to announce its annual Golf Challenge raised more than $57,000 for health-related programs and services funded by the Foundation.
247 golfers hit the links at the Davenport Country Club (DCC) and TPC at Deere Run in September. Proceeds from this event enable the Foundation to continue funding on-going nursing education programs and sponsor such projects as the First Steps program, a new program for parents of newborns, and the Stork's Nest. Funds were also used to purchase equipment such as a flexible bronchoscope for the Quad Cities' air ambulance, MedForce.
Lujack Lexus of the Quad Cities sponsored the tournament for the fifth consecutive year and donated money, prizes and two entries to the Lexus Tournament of Champions, which are auctioned at the Foundation Gala in the spring.
Other major tournament sponsors included Medtronic, Cerner Corporation, HRH Company of Illinois, Alcoa, Wells Fargo, Guidant, Anesthesia & Analgesia, P.C. and U.S. Bank.
"The Foundation is very appreciative of the support provided by the sponsors and the volunteers who helped make the Golf Challenge a success," said Deb Hughes, Genesis Health Services Foundation Project Coordinator.
The 2003 Genesis Foundation Golf Challenge will be Monday, September 22 at Crow Valley Golf Course in Davenport.
