Colorectal Screening Kits

Genesis Medical Center, in conjunction with sponsor partners, will offer free colorectal screening kits during the month of March. The kits contain a simple at-home procedure that checks stool samples for hidden blood, which can be a sign of cancer, polyps, or other internal disorders. Results will be mailed to participants within four weeks. If any abnormal results are found, they will be called by a health care professional.

Colorectal screening kits will be available at the Genesis Regional Cancer Center and at these sponsor locations during the month of March: Walgreen's in Rock Island and Scott counties; the Scott County American Cancer Society office in Davenport, Metropolitan Medical Laboratory; WOC-AM radio; the Quad City Times and KWQC-TV6.
