Genesis Offers Holistic Health And Support Classes For Cancer Survivors And Their Families

Davenport, IA - Genesis Cancer Center is offering a series of holistic health and support classes to help cancer survivors and their loved ones live full and meaningful lives with cancer. The ongoing series called, "Feeding Your Soul - Footprints to Survival," runs through December and focuses on a different topic each month.

Angels - God's agents of service to humankind are the focus of the August class. Jeanne Olsen, a Chaplain in the Spiritual Care Department at Genesis Medical Center, will conduct the session. Her presentation offers a Judeo/Christian perspective of angels. She refers to Biblical stories but the main thrust of the presentation is to talk about who angels are, what they do, what they don't do and then to share angel stories. She has been doing presentations on angels since 1985.

The angel session will be held Tuesday, August 19, from 2-3:30 pm, at Genesis Medical Center's West campus Conference Center, 1401 West Central Park, Davenport. Seating is limited, and registrations are on a first-come first-serve basis.
