Inner Journey - Art Therapy Workshops

Genesis Cancer Program Offers Art Therapy Series

Davenport, IA - Genesis Cancer Center is holding creative art therapy workshops for patients, their families and those diagnosed with a chronic illness. Inner Journey is designed to enhance creativity, health, and connection to the spirit.

Workshop topics include pastel painting, watercolor, caran d'Ache (a water soluble type crayon), collage, and Mandala/Medicine Wheel. No knowledge of art or artistic ability is required, just bring your imagination and sense of discovery. All materials will be furnished in class.

The series will be lead by art therapist Karen Heysinger-Lobovits. Ms. Heysinger-Lobovits has facilitated art therapy shops for more than 12 years and uses art as a therapeutic tool with cancer survivors and those affected by other chronic illnesses.

The Inner Journey classes will be held on Tuesdays, beginning April 29 through June 3, from 9-11 a.m. Classes will take place in the Genesis West Conference Center, Pavilion 1, 1401 West Central Park, Davenport.
