Heart Specialists Combine Training with Bix Weekend Activities

Davenport, IA - The 13th Annual Cardiology at the Bix takes place on Friday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Radisson Quad City Plaza, 111 E. 2nd Street, Davenport. This cardiovascular conference features a panel of nationally acclaimed physicians, presented by Genesis Heart Institute. Two of the accredited speakers that will be featured include:

• Dan Fintel, M.D., Associate Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University School of Medicine, and the Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Fintel will be speaking about "Early and Aggressive Treatment in the Coronary Heart Disease Patient," a topic he frequently speaks about at national medical meetings. Dr. Fintel is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and his specialties are cardiology and critical care medicine.
• Robert Charles Lichtenberg, M.D., Associate Professor of Medicine, Cardiology and Pediatrics, Loyola University. In a dual role, he serves as the Division of Cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center and is the director of Inpatient Services. Dr. Lichtenberg recently has been named one of the top doctors in the Chicago metropolitan area by the Castle Connolly guide, America's Top Doctors. A graduate of Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, his special interests include heart disease, cardiac catheterization and exercise physiology.

An outstanding line up of seven speakers has been assembled to present updates on the ever-changing field of cardiovascular medicine along with the latest in diagnostics and treatment options.
