A New Level II Special Care Nursery

Parents will find it very reassuring to know that our Level II Special Care Nursery has improved technology, more privacy and more family-centered care.

Its design makes it easier for parents to be more physically and emotionally linked to their babies and involved in their care.

A Level II Nursery can care for acutely ill infants except for those on prolonged ventilators. This level specializes in taking care of high bilirubin babies, infants on oxygen via oxyhood or low flow nasal cannula, and CPAP.

Located within the Family Room, the Level II Special Care Nursery has superior technology for newborns with special needs. A comfortable family waiting area is available. Also, a "quiet" room will enable parents to be with their babies in a comfortable setting and learn their care needs before taking them home from the hospital.
