Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery Offers New Support Group

Davenport, IA - If you have had or are considering gastric bypass surgery, Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery is offering a new support group called Images.

Dr. Laurel Brundage, Psychologist with Psychology Associates and Teresa Fraker, R.N., Bariatric Surgery Program Manager facilitate the group. Images offers a comfortable place to talk about the changes that occur with surgical weight loss and is open to anyone who has had the surgery, or is considering it.

Images meets the third Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 - 8 p.m., in the Conference Center, located in the Lower Level of Medical Office Building II (MOB II) at Genesis Medical Center's East campus, 1230 E. Rusholme, Davenport.

The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, December 17. There is no charge and attendees are encouraged to bring a support person with them. Register for the support group by calling Terry Pool at Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery, 563-421-8361.
