Genesis Class Explores Healing Powers of Art and Music

Davenport, IA – The healing powers of art and music will be explored in an upcoming class being offered by the Genesis Cancer Center.

Art and Music for Relaxation and Self Discovery: Exploring the Effects of Music and Art on Body/Mind/Spirit will teach participants to use sound, music and artistic self-expression as healing energy. These classes will enhance creativity, health and connection to Spirit.

The classes will be held Tuesdays – April 19, April 26, May 3 and May 10 – from 6-8 p.m. at Genesis Medical Center, West Conference Center, Pavilion 2, 1351 West Central Park, Davenport.

Colleen Curry and Karen Lobovitz will be the facilitators. Colleen has been a music educator for more than 24 years in the Quad Cities and is an award-winning fiber artist. Karen is an artist with more than 15 years in private practice as an art therapist. She is also a certified Yoga instructor and advanced Reiki practitioner.

Cost for the entire series is $100. Registration is available with Genesis On Call at 563-421-2000.
