Corigliano Quartet To Present Free Program At Genesis Medical Center
Davenport, IA – The Corigliano Quartet, an acclaimed group of string musicians, will present a 45-minute free program on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the East Lobby of Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street.
The Corigliano Quartet has been made available to Genesis through the Quad City Arts Visiting Artists Series. Hospital patients who are able, families and hospital visitors are invited to attend.
The New York Times called the quartet, “musicians who seem to say, ‘Listen to This!’’ The Baltimore Sun reported that the quartet demonstrated “profound beauty’’ and “riveting power.’’
Founded in 1996, the Corigliano Quartet has won the acclaim of audiences and critics across the country and is dedicated to the presentation of new American music in tandem with the standard quartet repertoire. For their efforts in presenting new music to a wider audience, the quartet was recently presented with the ASCAP/CMA Award for Adventurous Programming.
