Center for Digestive Health Receives AAAHC Accreditation
Bettendorf, IA – The Center for Digestive Health, a joint venture between Gastroenterology Associates P.C. and Genesis Medical Center, has received accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
The accreditation status means Center for Digestive Health has passed a series of nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by the Accreditation Association. More than 2000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by the AAAHC.
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by the AAAHC undergo an extensive, on-site, peer-based survey of facilities and services.
Dr. William Davidson III, M.D., and medical director of the Center for Digestive Health, said the accreditation affirms the center’s standards of quality. “Accreditation underscores our long-standing commitment to providing the highest possible levels of quality care to the community we serve,’’ Dr. Davidson said. “We are pleased to have our efforts recognized.’’
The other physicians in Gastroenterology Associates P.C. are practice founder Robert W. Benson, M.D., Erling Larson III, M.D., David S. Pratt, M.D., Richard L Weyman IV, M.D., Young B. Huh, M.D., and Anjana Kumar, M.D.
