Genesis Integrative Wellness Center Hosts Self Care Workshops

Davenport, IA – Genesis Integrative Wellness Center will host “For Your Health... An Evening of Self Care Workshops” on May 4.

The workshop topics will be “Fun-ctional Exercise,’’ massage therapy, good skin health and an overview of the center. The event is scheduled from 6-8 p.m.

Sara Nyquist. P.A.-C, will conduct the “Fun-ctional Exercise’’ workshop. She will discuss how to customize a fitness plan to meet individual needs, including increasing strength, improving balance, controlling weight and maintaining better overall health.

Massage therapist Matt Godsil will explain and demonstrate specialized methods of bodywork used to enhance overall good health.

Dietitian Jane Reinhardt-Martin will discuss good skin health and the importance of omega-3 fats in maintaining healthy skin. She will discuss good food sources of omega-3 fats, as well as appropriate supplements. A cooking demonstration will be provided.

John Golden, M.D., founder and medical director of Genesis Integrative Wellness Center, will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the importance of integrative therapies in overall health.

Genesis Integrative Wellness Center is located at 2526 41st Street, Moline.
