Genesis Wellness Offers Weight Control Class

Davenport, IA – A diet may only be effective until the next commercial break, or until a diet’s limitations become boring.

The Genesis Wellness Center will offer a weight-control class intended to provide participants with ideas for lifestyle changes to help them achieve long-term success.

Weight Control – Knowledge Is Power will be based on the thought that diets are not effective over the long term and long-term success in weight control can best be achieved through exercise and proper nutrition.

Participants in the class will work with a dietitian and an exercise specialist to control their weight.

Session II from May 11 – June 1 will teach participants how to create a healthy home environment, how to shop smart and how to handle eating on vacations and during holidays. Session II will meet Wednesdays from
10:30 a.m.-noon.

Cost will be $65 for Session II.  Participants do not have to be YMCA members.
