Genesis, Quad Cities to Host National Symposium on Future of eHealth

DAVENPORT, Iowa – As a three-time winner of Hospital & Health Network’s “100 Most Wired Healthcare Organizations,” Genesis Health System has remained ahead of the electronic information curve.

Genesis continues its dedication to the advancement of eHealth and will host industry-leading healthcare organizations for Geonetric’s 1st Annual eHealth Symposium, being held October 11-13 at the Genesis Heart Institute.  Geonetric, a healthcare web development firm based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been in partnership with Genesis for its online initiatives since 2001.

They will host more than 30 executives from around the country, stretching from California to Kentucky.  The symposium will showcase best-of-breed web advancements and new technologies on the horizon of eHealth, including online chronic disease management tools, personalized patient centers and communications systems for interacting with physicians online.

Key presenters include: Eric Engelmann, President & CEO of Geonetric; Tricia Manley, Web Strategy Manager at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colo.; Elizabeth Scott, Director of eBusiness at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Ky., and Ken Croken, VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Genesis Health System.

The event’s Keynote speaker is Eric Engelmann, President and CEO of Geonetric. As an innovations leader, Geonetric designs and develops forward-thinking web strategies and applications for the healthcare industry.  Mr. Engelmann will speak on new technologies, applications and online trends both inside and outside the healthcare industry.
