Genesis Offers Help Putting Medicare Part D Puzzle Together
Davenport, IA – To help Quad City-area seniors still trying to travel the maze of Medicare prescription drug benefit plans available, Genesis is hosting "Medicare Part D: Putting Together the Puzzle" at 6:30 p.m. on March 6 at the Genesis Heart Institute.
The Genesis Heart Institute is located at 1236 E. Rusholme St., in Davenport.
This two-part program will help guide seniors through the many options that are available to them. "It's important to take your time, compare plans and not necessarily sign up with the first plan that contacts you," said Karen Truesdell, manager of Genesis FirstMed Pharmacy.
The first part of the program will discuss Medicare Part D enrollment and enrollment deadlines; how Medicare Part D impacts Medicare Parts A, B, C and other third party prescription payers; dual eligible coverage for Medicaid patients; and prescription coverage and the classes if medications are excluded from coverage. At the end of the presentation, attendees will be invited to sign-up for one-on-one consultation with volunteers trained to assist individuals enrolling in the program.
Individuals must register for a one-on-one consultation. The one-on-one consultations will take place on:
March 13, 9-11 a.m. – Genesis Medical Office Building 2, 1230 E. Rusholme St., Davenport (adjacent to the North Parking Ramp).
March 14, 12-2 p.m. – Genesis Information Technology, 3390 Utica Ridge Rd., Bettendorf.
March 21, 2-4 p.m. – Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park, 1401 W. Central Park, Davenport (park on the North side of the building and enter through Pavilion 2 entrance).
