Prescription Assistance Effort Makes Stop At Genesis
DAVENPORT, Iowa – The “Help is Here Express’’ will be making a stop Thursday at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport to inform patients struggling to afford their prescribed medications about assistance options.
The bus, which is part of the efforts of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, will be at Genesis Medical Center, 1227 E. Rusholme St. from 9:30-11 a.m. to provide information about assistance options. The bus will be parked in the employee parking lot near the Edgerton Women’s Health Center.
Since its launch in April 2005, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) has helped an estimated 2.5 million patients nationally. The PPA is sponsored by pharmaceutical research companies and works with doctors, pharmacists, health care providers and community groups to find solutions for patients facing difficulty paying for medications.
Persons who are unable to register for assistance when the bus is at Genesis on Thursday can also register at www.pparx.org, or call toll free, 1-888-477-2669. Assistance is available in many languages.
