Crosstown Square Hosts Open House

SILVIS, Ill. – Crosstown Square will show off its newly renovated and larger apartments at an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at 900 Crosstown Ave., Silvis.

Crosstown has apartments for senior adults who want independence but like the security of knowing that 24-hour-a-day assistance is there when needed. The apartments are one of four levels of senior living on the Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.

Next door, Illini Restorative Care Center offers intermediate care; Medicare-certified skilled care for these needing rehabilitation after surgery or an acute illness; and a Sheltered Care Unit that bridges a gap in the Quad Cities region between independent living and skilled nursing care.

Each level of care is connected by enclosed walkways but has its own distinct entryway.  The Illini Campus hospital is close by for acute care needs, completing a full continuum of care.

“Once you start out at Crosstown Square, you have the convenience of using all the facilities and having priority to those facilities as you need them – whether it be sheltered care, skilled nursing care or long-term care,” said Roger Brannan, Administrator of Senior Services.
