Crow Valley Orthopaedic Surgery Center Achieves Accreditation
BETTENDORF, IOWA - The Crow Valley Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Bettendorf has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
The honor means Crow Valley Orthopaedic Surgery Center has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by the association. The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredits more than 3,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States.
The Crow Valley Orthopaedic Surgery Center is a joint venture of Genesis Medical Center and Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Associates, PC (ORA). The surgery center opened March 10 and is located in the new ORA building at 2300 53rd Ave., Suite 200, Bettendorf.
“Accreditation underscores our longstanding commitment to providing the highest possible levels of quality care to the communities we serve,’’ said Michael Pyevich, M.D., medical director of the surgery center. “We are pleased to have our efforts recognized with this accreditation.’’
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by the association undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based survey of its facilities and services.
The Bettendorf facility allows ORA to provide the full range of services in one building designed to offer comprehensive services, including assessment, surgery and post-surgical care and rehabilitation.
Through a joint venture with Genesis, the building features a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center with two operating suites and post-operative and recovery areas. Nearly 80 percent of surgeries performed in the U.S. can be done on an outpatient basis.
ORA has served patients in the Quad Cities for more than 40 years. The practice is the largest of its kind between Chicago and Omaha, recording more than 100,000 patient visits each year at offices in Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, Silvis, Clinton, Muscatine, Durant, DeWitt and Geneseo.
