QC Business Leader Chris Wahlig To Serve On
Genesis Health System Board

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Quad Cities business leader Chris Wahlig has been elected to the Genesis Health System Board of Directors.

Wahlig’s first meeting as a board member was held June 7.  He has accepted a three-year term.

Wahlig is president of Wahlig Consulting, L.C. The company provides business analysis and planning services.

He was Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer of Lee Enterprises until his retirement in 2001.  Prior to joining Lee in 1990, he was an audit partner with McGladrey & Pullen, a national firm of certified public accountants.

He also serves as treasurer and director of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend and Director of the Adler Theater Foundation, a support organization for the performing arts.

“In all of my contacts with Genesis Health System, I have been impressed with the quality of the people at Genesis and the concern that they demonstrate in providing high-quality health care to the community,’’ Wahlig said. “I look forward to my opportunity to contribute to the work of Genesis Health System.’’
