HealthQuest Film Series Presents "1776"

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The film version of the Broadway musical/comedy "1776" will be the Genesis HealthQuest Film Series presentation on Friday, July 3 at the Adler Theatre.

The 1972 movie tells the story of the Declaration of Independence in a musical format starring William Daniels as John Adams, Howard Da Silva as Dr. Benjamin Franklin, Ken Howard as Thomas Jefferson and Blythe Danner as Martha Jefferson.

There will showings at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

A free shuttle is available for seniors for the 2 p.m. showing. In Iowa: Center for Active Seniors (CASI) parking lot, 1035 W. Kimberly Rd., in Davenport. In Illinois: Hy-Vee parking lot, 2001 5th St., in Silvis.  Both shuttles will arrive at the pick-up locations at 12:45 p.m. and depart at 1:15 p.m.  They will return to CASI and Hy-Vee no later than 4:30 p.m.
