Genesis To Donate $20,000 To Haiti Relief

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Jan. 15, 2010 -- Genesis Health System is joining hundreds of other American hospitals and health systems in support of the Haitian disaster relief effort.  Genesis Health System President and CEO Doug Cropper announced Friday that Genesis will make a $20,000 corporate donation to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

In making the announcement, Mr. Cropper said: "The sorrow we share for the people of Haiti compels us to take action.  The devastation and loss that has overwhelmed the Haitian people will require a massive humanitarian effort. In the names of our employees, some of whom know Haiti very well from their mission trips, Genesis wants to be among the first to respond."
