Christopher J. Cox Elected to GHS Board of Directors
Christopher J. Cox, a manager at Deere and Co., has been elected to the Genesis Health System Board of Directors.
Cox has worked for John Deere for 39 years, currently serving as Environmental Manager for John Deere, North America, Europe, Africa, and Middle East.
Over the span of his career, he has worked in Deere and Co.’s Foundry, Agriculture and Turf, Golf and Turf, and Construction and Forestry Divisions.
In his current role, he is responsible for environmental regulatory compliance, technical oversight, professional development and the Environmental Management System (EMS).
Cox’s past leadership roles have included serving as: President of the Board of Directors of Iowa Illinois Safety Council; President of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Quad City Chapter; and, Board Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Region 7, Chicago. He has been named Quad City Senior Engineer of the Year by the QCA Engineering and Science Council. Over the years, he also has been active in the United Way in Waterloo and the Quad Cities, serving on the Leadership Giving Board and as a Loaned Executive.
Cox has published nearly 30 professional articles/papers and has been featured in Fortune magazine. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety, with emphasis in Biology. He and his wife, Liz, live in Bettendorf.
