Genesis Nursing Scholarships Awarded
The Genesis Health Services Foundation has awarded scholarships to 36 health system nurses who are advancing their educations to better serve Genesis patients.
More than $150,000 in nursing scholarships were awarded last week to recognize National Nurses Week.
Nursing scholarships help Genesis recruit and retain highly trained and skilled health professionals who provide quality care to patients. Scholarship funding is raised from the annual Genesis Pro-Am Challenge golf event and other special events and gifts.
"By establishing strong relationships with nursing students and assisting Genesis nurses as they advance their educations, Genesis is planning for our future needs to provide the best care possible for patients,'' said Judy Pranger, chief nurse executive and vice president, Genesis Health System.
