Genesis Facilities

Genesis Family Medical Center Clinic  is located on the northeast corner of the Genesis West Campus, and features twenty-four exam rooms and two well-equipped procedure rooms, as well as x-ray and laboratory facilities.

A satellite clinic in Blue Grass, Iowa, staffed by our program faculty, is used to provide rural rotation experience.  Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to Genesis Medical Center and residents assume their hospital management.  This provides an opportunity for residents to work with all types of patient populations.

Genesis Medical Center, consisting of an East and West campus, is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.  Total capacity is 550 beds and both facilities have seen extensive construction and renovation.  One hundred seventy active medical staff members represent all specialties, with the 40 members of the Department of Family Medicine representing the largest segment.  Family physicians have clinical privileges in all departments.
