Cancer Resource Center
Looking for information about a particular kind of cancer? Treatments and side effects? Complementary and alternative healing practices information? Community resources? National resources? When cancer enters your life either as survivor or as loved one, there’s a lot of learning to do.
The Genesis Cancer Resource Center has the tools to help. Open from 9 AM until 4 PM Monday through Friday, the Center has audios, Guided Imagery tapes, journals, and newsletters. Patrons to the Center may use the card catalog to locate books or simply browse the shelves. Circulating books may be checked out for two weeks. Comfortable seating is available to read journals or brochures in the Center. Brochures may be taken free of charge. Videos may be checked out or watched on the Center’s VCR. Assistance in the use of the Internet is available by appointment and accessible to experienced users upon need. Looking for information, but not sure what or where to go? Contact us for assistance with information searches or general questions at 563-421-1907.
The Cancer Resource Center is also the location for support groups' meetings. As a community service, the materials and services of the Cancer Resource Center are available to everyone, not just our patients.
Visit us on the West Campus of Genesis Medical Center located on the corner of Marquette and Central Park in Davenport, Iowa. Ample parking is available by the North Entrance. The Cancer Resource Center is located just off the atrium.
