Genesis now has two of the latest and best cancer-fighting treatment weapons available -- the TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system and the Varian Trilogy system. Genesis is one of a very few elite cancer care facilities in the United States to offer both technologies.

Advanced Treatment
TomoTherapy
Genesis is only the second Iowa hospital and the first in the region to offer the TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system. The specialized CT scanner is an all-in-one treatment option because it not only acquires 3D images of a patient’s tumor but it can deliver the necessary radiation to a tumor with unprecedented precision while protecting the healthy surrounding tissue. Varian Trilogy Technology
In March 2009 Genesis will be one of very few hospitals in the nation and the first in the the region to offer the Varian Trilogy system, a versatile, image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) system. Varian Trilogy with BrainLAB ExacTrac Robotics will provide the Genesis Cancer Care Institute with the best methods for treating cancers of the brain and spine with radiation delivered with sub-millimeter accuracy. Tests & Screenings

Digital Mammography
Genesis is first health system to introduce digital mammography to the Quad Cities. Digital mammography, the most advanced screening option for the early treatment detection of breast cancer, is part of a system of care at Genesis Center for Breast Health locations in Davenport, Bettendorf, Silvis and DeWitt.
